Never Fall for Someone With a Body to Diet For
aims to debunk the myth of the body beautiful as a route to love, happiness and fulfilment.
The work speaks in particular to gay culture's fixation with youth and physical perfection as the most signficant considerations in a relationship. (The digital billboard occupies a dominant position in the main tourist thoroughfare of London’s Leicester Square adjacent to the LGBT+ district of Soho.)
Never Fall For Someone With a Body to Diet For
points to the risks associated with inauthenticity, and the struggle to live up to an ideal. The implication of the artwork is that it is far better, and far more rewarding, to embrace the embodied, flawed, feeling totality of another human being.
