provides an absolute psychological definition of the 7 spectral colours and the three 'neutrals' white, black and grey. This is a caprice of course. Firrell's elaborate chromatic joke is made all the more compelling by the use of German and its presumed precision as the language of science.
It is patently impossible to attribute a finite meaning to any colour but this is what the artist proposes in this playful ‘natural history’ of colour.
