In the later version the original headline (
Don't Shoot, I'll Go With you
) and the revised headline (
Don't Go, I'll Shoot With You
) are juxtaposed across 6 repetions of the newspaper front page.
In this version the newsprint is rendered black-on-pink and a highlighter panel emphasises the repurposed text.
The inversion of the words 'Go' and 'Shoot' suggest something of the complex relationship between Patty Hearst and her original kidnappers, which might nowadays be described as
Stockholm Syndrome.
