appeared on billboards simultaneously across 11 European nations in 9 different languages to mark the United Nations International Day of Democracy on 15th September 2023.
The artist reasoned that justice is both the root and the fruit of democracy and so an appropriate subject for the UN Day of Democracy.
The artist was also interested in the principle of social justice as a thing of beauty, and very drawn to Rudolf Steiner's conception of beauty as something that 'shows itself' and 'rays forth'.
The digital billboard is, itself, a source of light and so, in a very literal way, the artist's messages about the significance and beauty of justice 'rayed forth' from Stockholm to Madrid, from Barcelona to Warsaw.
